The humanitarian situation in Anbar is still becoming increasingly difficult with the intensification of battles ferocity in Ramadi (the provincial capital), the matter which forced hundreds of families to flee out of their homes, while at the last two days more than 2,000 families was forced to leave their homes (at the provincial capital) and displaced to the regions of Ameriyat al-Fallujah and Al Khalidiya in Anbar governorate.
Abu Ahmed, one of the displaced people from the city center said that “the situation in our region is very difficult, and the clashes is ongoing within the neighborhoods meanwhile we had a large number of victims as a result of fire exchange and that we had to leave our homes and get Ameriyah al-Fallujah searching for security”
While Asma’a Naim add that “our lives are threatened in time that the city center now has become devoid of people as all of them rushed towards Khalediya and Ameriyat al-Fallujah, hoping to get a places that save us from death”
IRCS teams immediately implemented urgent relief operations by sending convoys of food and relief assistance included more than (1,000 food parcels, 500 blankets, 250 health kit and other 750 relief assistance). Since nearly a month, the number of displaced families to the areas of Ameriyah al-Fallujah, Habbaneyah and Husibbah was more than 2,500 families living in camps and public places in time that IRCS teams continues to assist these families and was able to manage, at previous period, to distribute more than (1,000 food parcels, 1,200 blankets, 8,500 dry meal as well as more than 38,000 bottle of water). IRCS also trying to provide food security for hundreds of displaced children, as the teams of IRCS provided children in the camps and public places with more than 28,000 lunch meal. Adding to what had mentioned above, other number of displaced people still spread in Baghdad and other Iraqi Governorate.
