The Iraqi Red Crescent Society (IRCS) / Karbala branch has implemented a number of health and development workshops for volunteers in Karbala Governorate. Where the cadre of the branch conducted field visits to the displaced families on the road of Karbala Najaf, and implemented a workshop regard the risks of (breast cancer) for displaced women included delivering protective health lectures about the definition of disease dangers, its symptoms and the prevention, adding to the ways to hold periodic disclosure in order to prevent aggravation of the disease and to reduce its spreading. The workshop comes as implementing for IRCS’s various health programs in the field of health awareness of cancer diseases, as well as education women on how to get rid of the disease and to disseminate health awareness among the participated women and to emphasize the commitment of having periodic monthly examination to detect the disease early.
On the other hand, the cadre of the branch carried out workshop for human development in the field of strategic planning for the volunteers and youth in the foundation of (Future Builders) in the governorate, which included theoretical and practical lectures on how to develop strategic plans in the individual field on short, long and medium term to achieve future goals and ambitions that every person is willing.
