The Iraqi Red Crescent Society (IRCS) has distributed food assistance in cooperation with the Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) for the displaced families in Basrah Governorate. As the IRCS’s teams distributed food assistance to more than 100 displaced families in (modern market camp) in the central og the governorate.
For his part, Yousrf Ashour, the Consul of Kuwait in Basrah praised the role of the IRCS in helping the displaced families. He also praises at the same time the cooperation between the Iraqi and Kuwait Societies and the extent of cooperation between them.
Ahmed Abdullah, the envoy of KRCS ha confirmed that the first batch include about 100 families, referring that the coming days will witness distribution of other assistance which will cover the needs of nearly three thousand families represent the total number of displaced families that distributed in central, districts and city center of the governorate.
He also added that the assistance included food aid needed by families in their daily lives in order to help in alleviating their daily suffering. And he praises the high discipline of the Iraqi Red Crescent’s volunteers in the distribution of aid and assistance.
