The Iraqi Red Crescent Society (IRCS) has organized health awareness and psychosocial support program for the community members in city of Tikrit of Salahaddin governorate by delivering intensive lectures about the public and psychological health, the program aims to aid the local community to overcome Coronavirus pandemic and includes a series of guidelines and awareness lectures in a number of schools and neighborhoods of Tikrit city.
The lectures divided into two parts, first part is the psychosocial awareness lectures on how to deal with stress and psychological anxiety, the second part is the health awareness lectures on infectious diseases, ways of transmission and how to prevent it, in addition to delivering other awareness lectures on personal hygiene.
The number of beneficiaries have reached more than 40 students of both sexes, and more than 20 people from the local community members.
