The Iraqi Red Crescent Society(IRCS)has said that the sterilisation campaigns implemented by its field teams were able to sterilise more than 3000 sites in various governorates of Iraq, including a number of holy shrines, such as Kadhimiya and Qadriya, and the highly populated residential neighbourhoods , health institutions, prisons, security forces headquarters, streets, markets, shops and the camps of the displaced people.
The IRCS has also reported in a statement: “The IRCS has formed field teams that carry out daily cleansing campaigns for various civil and governmental institutions, shelters, residential neighborhoods, prisons and others in order to limit the transmission of Coronavirus.
The IRCS has added “The volunteers used agricultural tractors and vehicles to spray the streets and public markets, so far, the IRCS’s teams have managed to sterilise more than three thousand locations in different regions of Iraq.
The IRCS has indicated that the teams are still continuing to clean up as a preventive measure to limit the spread of Coronavirus, and the IRCS has called on citizens to adhere to the instructions that issued from the competent authorities and the application of preventive instructions to avoid possible risks of the virus.
