The Iraqi Red Crescent Society (IRCS) has sought to enable the local communities and to increase their abilities in order to face the different humanitarian crisis during emergencies to alleviate the possible damages. This has come within the initiative of Community Development and Communication Forum to provide humanitarian assistance for the most vulnerable people in the community, as well as IRCS has distributed food and relief assistance for (288) vulnerable families in the governorates of Maysan and Al Diwaniyah to alleviate the suffering of their living condition.
IRCS teams have distributed food assistance, hot meals and household items to the vulnerable people and people with special needs in Maysan including (Central of the Governorate, Makhol district, Al majer al Kabeer district, Al Maymona district, Hay Al Rahman, Al mahafef area and Qal’at Saleh District) after IRCS volunteers conducted a survey recording the needs of vulnerable people. The number of beneficiaries have reached (134) families.
Within the initiative of Community Development and Communication Forum, IRCS volunteers in Diwaniyah has provided humanitarian assistance to the most vulnerable people and the people with special needs in the community which is food parcels and the number of beneficiaries have reached (154) families in the central and the districts of the Governorate.
