The Iraqi Red Crescent Society (IRCS) has organized a ceremony on the occasion of the receipt of the medical unit and mobile clinics from the Government of Japan and the partners in the International Movement of Red Cross and Red Crescent in order to provide the health support  for the most vulnerable categories in community at the IRCS`s Headquarters in Baghdad in the presence of the Japanese Ambassador in Iraq Mr. Fumio Iwai, the general manager of the Sumitomo foundation Mr. Ryosuke Miyake, the Head of Asia and Australia department Mr. Saad Kandil, the Head of Country office in Iraq for the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Mr.Farid Abdulkadir and the Deputy head of the ICRC mission in Iraq Mrs. Alexandra Manescu.
The ceremony has witnessed the delivery of the mobile medical unit key from the Japanese Ambassador in Iraq to the president of the Iraqi Red Crescent Society Dr.Yassin Al-Mamori.
‘’ It is a precious occasion to celebrate the delivery of a number of presents provided by the empire of Japan to the IRCS in order to strengthen the IRCS`s abilities to prepare and respond to the humanitarian conditions that might occur either in war or peace’’, said Dr.Yassin Al-Mamori the Head of the IRCS.
Dr. Yassin has added that the present of Japan represents a sort of technological progress and a special service in the medical field because of its significant and influential impact on the improvement of medical services provided by the IRCS when the humanitarian needs arise in the medical fields which they are continuous and growing every day, this grant will strengthen the IRCS`s abilities in the medical side.
The Ambassador of Japan in Iraq Mr. Fumio Iwai has said ‘’ I`m delighted and honored that I witnessed the delivery of the medical unit and I`m glad to sign the convention of the medical unit project with the IRCS in order to enhance the medical environment for the displaced people in the camps and the liberated areas especially it`s been over a year on the liberation of Mosul and a number of other areas through a unified effort’’.
Mr. Fumio has added that this project is part of the humanitarian support that Japan has provided in order to support the immigrant, the displaced and the vulnerable communities so that to make the above-mentioned project works well in the remote and liberated areas.
Mr. Fumio has also emphasized  that the government of Japan is stands with Iraq to restore the stability and construction and to make the future more brighter.
