The leaders of the regional and international organizations have met in Cairo in order to express their thanks and appreciation to the people of the Middle East for their participation in the blood donors campaign in the last Ramadan which has made a remarkable success.
The ceremony that has been held in the Egyptian opera house witnessed the choosing of the artist Nasser Shamma as the Goodwill Ambassador for the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), the digital campaign which is the product of the cooperation between the IFRC, Facebook, the National Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, the Ministry of Health and World Health Organization has designed in order to face the annual decrease in the blood donations which have been seen during Ramadan in every year.
Nasser Shamma has also been selected as the Goodwill Ambassador of the Iraqi Red Crescent Society.
