Since the start of the right side operations of Mosul city till now, the numbers of displaced people who are coming from Mosul city have doubled to more than 48,000 displaced during the past five days, they are coming from the right side neighborhoods towards Hamam Al-Alil and Qayarah , and as a result of the large number of the displaced people south of Mosul city and the lack of the capability of camps to accommodate all of them, some of the displaced people were transported to the camps of Khazer and Hasan Al-Sham in Erbil city .
The teams of the Iraqi Red Crescent (IRCS) have distributed hot and dry food meals to the displaced upon their arrival to the camps, they also have distributed food parcels prepared for a family consist of 9 members for a month, the IRCS`s volunteers have distributed more than 9,000 food parcel till now, adding to provide another supplies including health kit, kitchen kit, oil stoves, blankets and mattresses, meanwhile the IRCS`s health teams have implemented first aid and psychosocial support campaigns .
The IRCS has opened three medical centers at Hasan Al-Sham, Khazer and Jada camps in order to treat the patients displaced, and a number of volunteer doctors are responsible for treating the patients in these centers, and these three medical centers provided daily medical treatments to more than 1500 people .
The Iraqi Red Crescent Society since the beginning of Mosul operation till now is the first responder in providing food and water in collaboration with its partners from the International Movement of Red Cross and Red Crescent, and during the previous period the IRCS has installed water purification station in Hasan Al-Sham and Khazer camps with a capacity of 600,000 liters, this station provides drinkable water for the displaced every day, also the IRCS has opened a number of bakeries to provide bread to the displaced people which is considered as a basic food material .
