Food assistance has distributed to vulnerable families , widows , orphans , and persons with disabilities by IRCS in the following governorate :
• Kirkuk
In Kirkuk , food assistance has been distributed by Kirkuk branch staff to vulnerable families and widows in Ssona kuly and the distribution based on questionnaire by special committee of branch employees and volunteers to get the number of needy families and evaluated their needs .
• Thiqar
In Thiqar , the branch staff has distributed food parcels to vulnerable families , widows , and orphans in four districts ( Nasiriya district centre , Suq al- Shyookh , Jebaiysh , Refa’e ) and governorate centre . Four thousands ( 4000) is the total of food parcels and ( 800) eight hundred parcel for each district .
• Diwaniya
In Diwaniya , the branch staff with cooperation of Zain Iraq company for mobile communication distributed more than 235 food parcel in Al- Moqa’ Al- Askiry Al-Qadeem area and Al- Mutajawizeen area ( illegal residence ) in Al-Askan neighborhood with the participation of a number of the branch volunteers as well as to the distribution of 125 Aftar meal ( fast breaking ) to vulnerable families in slums area where each individual got ( complete meal ) , this activity as a result received a great interest from the satellite channels and radio in governorate .
• Neneva
In Neneva , the IRCS / Neneva branch distributed food assistance to vulnerable students in boarding departments ; this come after field visits and survey to evaluate the needs and registering the number of students ( the number of students reached 256 ) .
The branch also photographed with cooperation of Al- Mousliya satellite channel episodes of Ramadan visits under the name of ( Yad al- Kheer ) ( charity hand ) which visited the poor families and presented the psychological support as well as to the distribution of electric equipments to them ( the number of beneficiaries reached 30 family .
In addition to the previous activities , the branch also organized the project of ( Aftar Al-Sa’am ) ( fast breaking ) to large number of vulnerable families in Neneva and its districts which included fast breaking banquets ( the number of beneficiaries is more than 1900 family .
• Al- Najaf
In Al- Najaf , Al-Najaf branch distributed food assistance to vulnerable families in Al –Najaf districts and sub districts in the beginning of Ramadan month and that distribution based questionnaire to evaluate and registering the number of vulnerable families . The distribution covered the vulnerable in Al-Najaf branch place , Manathera , Kufa , and Mishkhab districts and sub districts of Al-Haideri ( the number of beneficiaries reached 2300) … on the other hand , It must be mentioned that Al- Najaf branch has distributed 2873 food parcel at the beginning of the year .
The branch also distributed food assistance to registered vulnerable families in Al- Anwar Al-Najafiya foundation , Dar Al-Qura’n foundation for orphans and public force organization for conciliation support ( the number of beneficiaries reached 573 ) .
• Babil
Babil branch distributed food assistance to vulnerable families in ( the centre of the city , Al-Hashimiya , Masyab , and Mahaweel districts ) ; this distribution based on questionnaire to evaluate the needs of the vulnerable families ( the number of Ramadan food parcels is 3300 ) .
• Basra
In Basra ,food parcels has been distributed to vulnerable families in ( Al-Muqdadiya and Jimhuriya areas ) with cooperation of Zain Iraq company ( the number of beneficiaries is 230) .
It must be mentioned that IRCS seeks with its potentials to provide vulnerable families , widows , orphans , and special needs persons with important needs in order to implement Ramadan food assistance program that IRCS implements every year .
It must be also mentioned that IRCS made a plan in advance in order to distribute food parcels in Ramadan to vulnerable families ( the number reached 2600 family ) ; on the other hand , IRCS keeps on daily distribution to vulnerable families until the end of Ramadan month and then quarterly each three month (500) parcel .
