The humanitarian situation for many of displaced people after the events of Mosul still increasingly difficult where many of them live in harsh conditions , that more than 91 000 families have been forced to leave their homes refuge to safer areas . That Iraqi Red Crescent society seeking to provide safe shelters, food, water and other necessities of life by its relief teams that spread in all displaced people places and adopting programs psychological support to help these families to adapts with the new situation socially and psychologically , the Iftaars banquets is an obvious example of psychological support programs where famous Iraqi artists, athletes and journalists visit those families to experience their conditions and provide food and water for them.
in the first iftaar meal (fast breaking ) organized in Karbala more than 20 Iraqis famous artists, athletes , and journalists with IRCS volunteers participating in preparing iftaar meal for more than 1,000 displaced people in Karbala .
Emad Mohammed , the Iraqi national team captain said while he distributing food to displaced people :’’ we as athletes, artists , and journalists believe that our attending is a little thing even though we attended daily to help these families and coexistence with them and we will provide what can be offered to them , and the purpose of our being here today with them not to provide food only, but we are trying to provide psychological environment to them , and to be support for them . ‘’ that the beautiful initiative of IRCS made us live condition of volunteers and we wish everyone help these families).
Mr. Haider Zoer, a programs announcer at Al- Iraqia satellite channel said : ‘’ that our presence here is a call for all people to live with the displaced and it is not true that we eat, drink and live our lives in isolation from the displaced , ‘’ I’ve visited drawing gallery which organized by IRCS for the kids and I watched them paint their homes which they left . it’s a painful sight of them really ,we are sorry , I wonder if we are able to pass the suffering of those people to the public and the world that’s what I’m going to do in my return) .
The artist Nahi Mehdi while distributing food to number of children said :’’ our coming from Baghdad with the Iraqi Red Crescent society is to help and support these families and it is message to all who can provide support to participate because these families lost their homes and property , so Let us try to provide psychological environment for them and help them as much as we can’’ .
Bassam Rauf , Iraqi national team captain said ‘’ the initiative of the Iraqi Red Crescent , and we are members from today with the IRCS in providing material and morale support to the Iraqi people, and I thank all who have helped and supported to draw joy on the lips of displaced children) .
Abu Hassanein al-Rubaie , the Poet and programs announcer at Al-Forat satellite channel said :’’ we came at the kind invitation of the IRCS to support these families and make iftaar meal for them , live with them , and understanding more of what suffering as we are messengers of peace, and we will transfer everything that is happening to these families and the purpose of that is to help them psychologically and morally and tell them we are with you and we feel your suffering ‘’ .
Hamza Quraishi , program announcer at Al-Etjah satellite channel said : ‘’ I agreed IRCS because I think that it is different from other Crescent and the Cross societies , that is because there are many disasters in Iraq and always IRCS forerunners in helping , and what we see today is the proof of my words because we are as audience each events that happen in the Iraq IRCS being the first initiator in the field and is not new, but what struck me what IRCS organized which is drawing gallery for children and what will come for today ‘’ .
