The Iraqi Red Crescent Society (IRCS)/Dhi Qar branch distributed food assistance to the displaced families in the governorate.
As the staff of the branch distributed (253) food parcels to the displaced families in Nassireya center and the districts of (Suq Al-Sheikh, Al-Shatrah and Al-Rifa’ey), and to organize health awareness campaign of communicable diseases such as measles, cholera, influenza epidemic, avian influenza, liver disease and personal and public hygiene, as the campaign included a number of field visits to people in the areas and districts of the governorate adding to the staff of government departments and hospitals, as well as to give lectures regarding spread and epidemic disease in which awareness of disease posters were distributed.
On the other hand, the cadre of the branch carried out polio vaccine campaign in collaboration with the Directorate of Health in Dhi Qar included a large number of Children there.
