The Iraqi Red Crescent Society (IRCS) / Babylon Branch received 950 displaced families after the deterioration of the security situation in Anbar governorate. As the cadre of the branch installed emergency camp for displaced people in the district of Mahaweel, adding to provide humanitarian assistance like food parcels and relief material in time that IRCS staff did its best to provide food and relief assistance to the displaced at Babylon.
It is worthy to be mentioned that Babylon is still receiving the displaced people till now, and those families being housed in the Mahaweel district, Hilla city, Al-Ksaim district and Hamza district. Adding to what has just mentioned, two new camps will be installed to receive the displaced, noting that most of the families that arrived to the governorate take from the schools and mosques as homes, while the others live with their relatives.
