The Iraqi Red Crescent Society (IRCS) / Karbala branch implemented a practice operations of First Aid and saving the wounded and injured during the explosions and natural disasters for the volunteers and staff of the IRCS, and to the employees of Imam Abbas Shrine (peace be upon him) to make those aiders ready to evacuate the injured and wounded with the participation of four teams from volunteers and staff of IRCS in addition to a number of employees from the Abbasic Shrine, in which IRCS give theoretical and practical lectures on how rescue the injured and the wounded in case of fire or explosion in a vehicle.
In a same context, IRCS teams participated in monitoring and follow-up vaccination campaign against polio in coordination with the World Health Organization (WHO) and Health Department in Karbala, as IRCS forms (6) teams to participate in this campaign in most areas of the governorate, in which IRCS teams monitoring two areas that not covered by health teams, meanwhile IRCS teams used in their monitor iPad (GBS) system to enter the data and to do a field survey in the governorate.
