Iraqi Red Crescent Society (IRCS) and “Zain Iraq” Telecom company signed cooperation agreement in order to relief the displaced people in various parts of Iraq during the holy month of Ramadan, the agreement comes to provide food for (2,500) displaced families, as well as providing medical treatments for more than (5000) citizen. While the teams of IRCS has begun to distribute food to the displaced families in the areas of Ameriyat al-Fallujah and some of its other towns.
The Assistant Secretary General for IRCS Mohammad al-Khuzai said “The current humanitarian situation of displaced people requires finding extra financial resources to cover the growing needs in displacement camps and in the places of displaced”. He also noting that “this agreement is not the first of its kind, but it was preceded by other agreements that intended to help displaced families through providing financial resources that covers the needs of displaced families
It is worthy to be mentioned that and Zain Iraq had announced in July 2013 the signature of large-scale cooperation agreement to deliver support, and contribute with more humanitarian assistance in order to be delivered to the most vulnerable groups in Iraqi community .
