In spite of more than one month has passed on the beginning of Mosul operations, the Iraqi Red Crescent Society (IRCS) is the only organization which covers the needs of local residents in 35 area from districts and towns of Mosul city .
The areas and districts in Mosul has witnessed difficult humanitarian conditions .
” The IRCS teams have been managed to cover all areas that have been liberated in the city of Mosul, and so far the IRCS teams supported by their partners in the International movement of Red Cross and Red Crescent have distributed food parcels to more than 16 thousand family, adding to distribute more than 70 ton from rise and distributing clothes to 63 thousand citizen, in addition to the relief materials, blankets, stoves and baby milk ” , said Mohammed Al-Khuzai the General Secretary Assistance .
Al-Khuzia added that the relief operations have accompanied first aid and psychosocial support teams, implementing operations of rescue the injured and implementing psychosocial support programs to assist the residents to live with psychosocial and psychiatric atmosphere, the number of beneficiaries from this program have reached 7000 people .
It is worthy to be mentioned, the areas that IRCS has been managed to enter and distributed assistance is( Hamam Al-Alil area, Baweeza, Lazaka village, Samaqia, Fadhileyia, Samah district, Entisar town, Wardek town, Baker town, Karkolie, Ewegela town, Haj Ali village, Garen village, Sulaymani, Al-Haweet, Tel Yabis, Najmook, Hokul area, Qahera towns, Al-Khadra flats, Shorah, Shoran, Al-Majamen village, Tel Mahar, Sorroj, Abassiyah village, Kare Gareban area, Qayarah district, Tahreer town, Al-Shalalat area, Sinjar district, Samah town, Kokajle area ) .
