The Iraqi Red Crescent Society (IRCS) has provided medical, first aid and awareness services for the visitors of Imam Hussien Arbieniah visit.
The IRCS has reported in a statement that more than 7,000 staff and volunteer of both sexes have started their work in providing medical, first aid and health awareness services after the IRCS has set up a pre-action plan to set up the camps and medical detachments in Karbala, Najaf, Basra, Diwaniyah, Muthanna, Dhi Qar, Wasit, Babil, Maysan and Diyala governorates which are distributed alongside the roads leading to the holy city of Karbala to receive visitors walking to commemorate the Arbieniah visit.
The statement has added that the IRCS has sent 25 ambulances distributed in different roads that used by the visitors in order to transfer the sick and emergency cases to the nearest health center, adding to deploy more than 100 mobile teams to provide first aid services to visitors.
The IRCS is annually prepared a strategic plan to revive the Arbieniah visit and to prepare all human, material and logistic supplies in order to get ready for the reception of visitors and provide medical, first aid services such as medicine, water, and juices, shelter.
