Dr. Yassin Ahmed Abbas, President of the Iraqi Red Crescent Society (IRCS) received Ms. Mirjana Spoljarić, President of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), and her accompanying delegation on Monday, May 11, 2026.

During the meeting, both sides discussed bilateral relations between the ICRC and the IRCS, issues related to the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, and areas of cooperation and coordination between the two organizations in addressing the chronic humanitarian needs in the region. They also discussed ways to support the most vulnerable and needy groups in society.
