To honour the Prophet’s (PBUH) death anniversary in Najaf, the Iraqi Red Crescent offers health and awareness services to visitors.
As part of the yearly celebration of the Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) death anniversary in Najaf, the Iraqi Red Crescent’s medical teams have started to attend to the large numbers of visitors to the shrine of Imam Ali (PBUH).
The communication coordinator for the Iraqi Red Crescent at Najaf branch, Ahmed Manshed, stated: “On the eve of the visit, the Najaf branch utilised (5) health detachments on the visitors’ road, distributed along the axis of the Najaf-Al-Mundhirah road, Najaf-Karbala, and two detachments in the centre of Najaf city, as well as at the Kufa Mosque, providing their services to visitors and accompanied by ambulances affiliated with the Iraqi Red Crescent.”
He noted: “The involvement of more than 160 male and female volunteers working throughout the visit period offered emergency services and necessary medical treatments, in addition to spreading health awareness messages and providing a service to search for missing persons.”
