To coordinate joint work in the field of psychosocial support and exchange experiences

The Iraqi Red Crescent visits the Syrian Red Crescent
With the support of the Danish Red Cross, a delegation from the Iraqi Red Crescent visited its counterpart in the Syrian Arab Red Crescent with the purpose of encouraging collaboration and sharing ideas regarding humanitarian action.
The delegation engaged with professionals in the fields of mental health and psychosocial support, and they gave them an overview of the activities of social centers and programs that were made available to beneficiaries in the governorates of (Damascus, Aleppo, and Damascus countryside). The Iraqi Red Crescent delegation discussed ways to strengthen ties in the areas of psychotherapy and community integration in order to share its expertise in providing psychosocial support to those who are internally displaced and to groups within society who require this type of humanitarian assistance.
