The teams of the Iraqi Red Crescent Society (IRCS) in Basra have rescued 10 people, including children and women, while their house was under fire in Abi al-Khasayb district, southeast of Basra.
The IRCS has reported”The IRCS`s teams have rescued 10 people, including children and women, who were suffocated by heavy smoke after their house was completely burned, the teams were close to the scene and provided first aid to the wounded, including three children and woman were suffocated and have been treated through the IRCS`s health teams, a number of volunteers also contributed to extinguishing the fire and helping to evacuate the family.
Iraqi Red Crescent Society Is an independent national humanitarian, society whose works to reduce the suffering of people without discrimination, in the time of peace and war, and during the natural and non- natural disasters. IRCS is one of the most effective societies within the International movement of the Red Crescent and Red Cross.
