The teams of the Iraqi Red Crescent Society(IRCS) have distributed more than 270 food parcels to families affected by the rain torrents in Salah al-Din governorate, where the distribution was carried out after conducting a field survey in various areas of the governorate to identify the numbers of the affected families and their necessary needs.
The teams have also carried out precautionary measures in the areas likely to be flooded, where three camps were set up in each of the villages of Masq, Mazra’a, and Albuajil, with 50 tents in each camp equipped with mattresses, blankets, and various relief items, adding to open corridors for the disposal of rainwater in cooperation with the volunteer teams and the teams of the municipality of Tikrit in order to keep the flood risk from the densely populated settlements.
