The Iraqi Red Crescent Society ( IRCS ) has announced that its relief teams are continuing to provide the relief and food aid for displaced families and the families affected by floods and torrents in the governorates of Salahaddin, Nineveh, and Maysan.
The IRCS has reported in a statement that its teams in Salahaddin are still continuing to provide food and relief aid for the affected families, they have distributed food parcels and various relief items, mattresses and blankets to more than 120 families who are living in the villages of( Samom, Albo Mohammed, Albo Kareem, Albo Hbosh and Albo Esa) in Samara district after conducting an assessment to the numbers of the affected families and learn about their needs.
Whereas the teams of the IRCS in Nineveh have distributed relief and food items for the families affected by the rising of water level in the Tigris river due to the water releases from Mosul dam, the distribution has done in AlRashedeia area, where the number of beneficiaries has reached more than 100 families.
In Maysan governorate, the IRCS`s teams are continuing to visit the areas affected by the torrents in order to provide support and relief to the affected families, and more than 20 food parcels and relief items for the families who are living in AlBatat area in Alsalam township after the registration of sinking (8) houses and displacement of a number of families to different areas of the township.
