The Iraqi Red Crescent Society (IRCS) in Duhok in cooperation with its partners in the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement has organized a program on the first responder within the project of Madad that aims to prepare the competencies of various segments of the community, particularly those involved in emergency situations. the first responder is the person who has received the caretaker certificate and is the first to arrive at the scene and is the first to deal with emergency cases, the number of beneficiaries of this program has reached (35) volunteers from the IRCS and the health department staff.
On the other hand, the IRCS`s teams in Dohuk have organized training courses on handicrafts (barbershop, sewing, car mechanics, mobile phone repairs, maintenance of electrical appliances), The aim of these courses is to support young people and help them overcome the difficult economic conditions that they face due to the spread of phenomenon of unemployment by opening new horizons for them, where the number of beneficiaries more than (90) people.
