Dr. Yassin Ahmed Abbas, President of the Iraqi Red Crescent Society (IRCS), has visited Erbil governorate to assess the conditions of families affected by a wave of torrential rains that passed over a number of districts in the governorate.
Dr. Yassin has discussed with Mr. Musa Ahmed Musa, President of the Barzani Charitable Foundation the shared humanitarian projects and assistance provided to displaced people who are in the Kurdistan Region.
The IRCS continues to provide health, psychosocial, and humanitarian assistance to the region’s camp residents.
The IRCS has also provided medical and relief assistance to families devastated by excessive rainfall and flooding that destroyed homes and displaced citizens.
The teams of the IRCS are now conducting field surveys to ascertain the number of impacted individuals and the level of damage in order to provide required assistance.
