Dr. Yassin Maamouri, President of the Iraqi Red Crescent Society has conducted a field tour to inspect the activities of the IRCS detachments and camps in the holy Karbala governorate.
The IRCS has released the following statement: “The president of the IRCS has conducted a field tour to review the work of the detachments and camps and gave some instructions to volunteers and members to ensure the detachments progress in providing medical, health, and awareness services to the pilgrims.
The statement continued: “The IRCS teams are continuing to provide medical and first aid services day and night, in addition to offering the logistical support like providing buses to transport pilgrims from inside and outside the holy city of Karbala.”
It is worth emphasizing that the IRCS creates an annual action plan to prepare logistical, material, and health assistance for this event, which attracts millions of pilgrims each year, including Arabs and foreigners.
