The Iraqi Red Crescent Society (IRCS) has announced rising at the numbers of displaced people who flee from Shirqat, Haji Ali and Qayarah areas to more than 70 thousand displaced people who are living a difficult humanitarian conditions. At the same time, there is the possibility of increasing the number of displaced people in the coming days adding to increase the humanitarian challenges.
The IRCS said in a statement, “The numbers of displaced people from Shirqat, Haji Ali and Qayarah areas has rose to more than 70,000 displaced people and are living a difficult humane conditions tough high temperatures”.
The IRCS also added that more than 30 thousand displaced people are located in Depkh camp at Makhmur area, while more than 40,000 displaced people at the city of Tikrit, most of them living in public places and at their relatives, as well as there are some of the displaced people has moved to Kirkuk and to Kurdistan region.
The IRCS has also added that the volunteers in the IRCS have distributed more than 120 thousand lunch meal and drinking water, and have distributed teams of psychosocial support and first aid in order to alleviate the suffering of the displaced, meanwhile the IRCS said that there is a possibility that the numbers of displaced people and the humanitarian challenges may increase in the coming days.
