The Iraqi Red Crescent Society (IRCS) has announced the displacement of (4224) family from Hajaj to Shirqat area in Salahluddin. Since the start of Shirqat liberalization operations till now, the number of displaced people has reached approximately 21 thousand dispersed that distributed at public places, some of the buildings and structures, meanwhile some of them have refuge to their relatives inside the city of Tikret, but others have moved to Baghdad and Kirkuk.
The Iraqi Red Crescent teams have also distributed food and relief in two phases, the first is in Hajaj camp while the second in inside the city of Tikret.
The Red Crescents’ teams has distributed food to 10 thousand displaced people, as well as provided drinking water to more than 19 thousand displaced people, as the Red Crescent has also distributed baby milk for more than 500 children, and distributed bread for more than 17 thousand displaced people, adding to that, the IRCS has strengthened its assistance and have send relief aid convoy that had 50 tons of food materials.
The Red Crescents’ volunteers provided first aid services and treatment for patients in the field, adding to provide psychosocial support and awareness of Communicable Diseases for more than 28 thousand displaced people.
