The Iraqi Red Crescent: The number of displaced people reach more than 79 thousand displaced one month after Mosul events and the IRCS teams increase its relief efforts .

One month after the beginning of Mosul operations, the number of displaced people has reached more than (79192) displaced from different areas of Mosul to the camps of ( Hasan Al-Sham and Khazir in Erbil, Zulaykan in Duhok and Jada`a camp at Qayarah ) .
The displaced families have been managed to get out from their homes to the camps by safety access that the Iraqi security forces have provided to them at the centers of displacement in Duhok, Kirkok, Erbil and south of Qayarah .
A month after the start of Mosul operations, the Iraqi Red Crescent Society in collaboration with its partners in the International Movement of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, the International Committee of Red Cross and the international Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies to cover the emergency needs of the displaced families in different centers of displacement, while the IRCS volunteers are doing their utmost in responding to displaced people`s emergency needs in Mosul and the local residents at the cities and villages on the lines of fighting, the IRCS teams are still continuous to provide the humanitarian assistance in the fields of( relief, food, health and psycho-social support) .
Meanwhile, the IRCS teams have provided different food meals including daily food meals and food parcels to all the displaced, where the number of distributed meals has reached more than 45 thousand meal and more than 12 thousand food parcel that covered all the displaced people, the IRCS teams are duplicating their efforts in order to cover the needs of displaced people who are still flowing to the camps from other areas of Mosul .
On the same context, some of the local residents preferred not to flee from their areas and stay in till the end of the operations, and the IRCS relief teams have been managed to relief more than 6 thousand displaced inside Mosul city at Hamam Al-Alil areas and Al-Intesar neighborhood .
At the same time, the IRCS volunteers have implemented daily campaigns of first aid and psychosocial support for the displaced at the camps and a number of cities .
The IRCS teams have also provided first aid and psychosocial support to various categories of displaced families, and the number of beneficiaries from these services has reached more than 28 thousand displaced .
