The Iraqi Red Crescent Society: we are ready to relief million displaced people in Mosul duringthe operations of its liberation

It is expected that Mosul battle will be followed by displaced operation from the central city and its parts, the number of displaced may reached one million next days after the operation has already started this morning Monday. During the last five months the humanitarian affairs and  the expected displaced operations has took a great interest and fears of not getting the capacity of having a large numbers of residents, but, the planning for this relief operation has early started.
Dr.Yaseen A. Abbas, the President of the Iraqi Red Crescent Society (IRCS) has said “The Society has played the role of first responder for coveringthe needs of displaced people in first thirty days, thus we should mobilize our human and material resources with the help of our partners in International Movement of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies so that to increase assistance and fulfill the needs offamilies who are expected to be displaced during Mosul liberation operations.

During last days, The IRCS has mobilized its humanitarian and material recourse adding to provided food assistance that fulfills the needs of more than one million displaced people. The IRCS has also established two centers to manage relief operation in Salahuldin and Erbil which can manage relief operation in Erbil, Dahuk, Salahuldin and Kerkok governorates.
Ahmed Kadhum,the Head of Operations Management for IRCS has said “More than 2500 volunteers and employees has been mobilized as apart of the campaign of relief operations for people who displaced from Mosul, the IRCS has also provided dry materials, food parcels, field kitchen and bakery of breads to cover the needs of displaced families”.
The relief teams will be companied with first aid and psychosocial support teams in all displaced places. Meanwhile Dr.AliMajeed the head of Health Department/IRCS has said that IRCS has formed many teams that will take upon themselves the responsibilities of first aid and psychosocial support, there are also more than 850 volunteers of IRCS branches who are well trained to be ready for this humanitarian mission.
