The Iraqi Red Crescent Society has sought to provide the needs of vulnerable people in order to enable them to face different humanitarian crisis during an emergency and other situations.
Within the initiative of Community Development and Communication Forum that the IRCS has launched early this year to help the vulnerable families, IRCS teams have distributed health, relief, and food assistance for the vulnerable people and the people with special needs in the governorates of Maysan, Karbala, and Diyala.
IRCS teams have visited a number of vulnerable families as well as families with special needs in Hay Al-Rahma north of Maysan in order to help and support the families, not to mention distributing food and relief assistance to tens of them after IRCS teams conducting a survey in this area.
IRCS teams have distributed (50) food parcels for the vulnerable families in the governorate after the relief teams conducting a survey in a number of areas in the governorate.
Because of the high temperature and the shortage of potable water in number of areas in Diyala governorate, IRCS teams have distributed (6000) crates of water for the displaced and vulnerable families in the governorate.
