The Iraqi Red Crescent Society participated in distributing 250 food parcels to the underprivileged families in Salah al-Din governorate

The Iraqi Red Crescent Society participated in distributing 250 food parcels to the underprivileged families in Salah al-Din governorate, provided by the Al-Hasan Al-Askary holy shrine in Samarra.

The media coordinator for the Salah al-Din branch mentioned: “The Iraqi Red Crescent has organized a celebration in collaboration with Al-Hasan Al-Askary holy shrine on the occasion of the Prophet’s Ascension (Mab’ath) at the Samarra Youth and Sports forum. During the event, 250 food parcels were distributed to the families of orphans, widows, and individuals with special needs, with the presence of a delegation from the holy Al-Hasan Al-Askary shrine participated in the celebration.”

The media coordinator has also pointed out: “The role of the IRCS was not limited to organizing the celebration but also included informing the eligible families in Samarra district to attend and receive the food parcels, the goal of organizing this event is to support underprivileged families, ease their economic burdens, and enhance social solidarity, in addition to strengthening cooperation between humanitarian organizations and institutions in Iraq.”
