The Iraqi Red Crescent Society (IRCS)/Baghdad branch, organized scouts camps for more than 3,500 students at the square of martyr monument – Baghdad in cooperation with the 1st & 2nd Rasafa Educational Directorate, and the Directorate of professional schools. The staff of the branch installed a camp, which lasted more than 8 days for school students according with programs included a festival of (students and children graphics) that expressed the humanitarian concept of IRCS role in relief operations, and that reverse their future aspirations and wishes as well as to give them an opportunity to keep in touch with IRCS, as IRCS has a great interest in students and children and seeks to provide them with recreational and educational programs through scout camps in order to expand their awareness, especially the children and to sow the seed of helping others in them.
The camp comes in order to define the principles of IRCS and its humanitarian role. Meanwhile there was many lectures giving to the participating students regarding First Aid and how to save emergency cases and psychosocial support for children, adding to the principles of the International Movement and International Law as well as lectures about risk of war remnants giving by specialized cadres in this field in which the number of beneficiaries was (more than 320 school) while the number of students who participated were more than 3600 students.
