governorate, after previously covering the governorates of Baghdad, Salah al-Din, Nineveh, and Diyala as part of the “Child’s Heart” project supported by the German Red Cross which aims to provide schools with essential materials that help students develop their skills in science, arts, and sports.
Iyad Fadel, The youth coordinator of the Iraqi Red Crescent in Basra, stated:
“The goal of this activity is to help students discover their scientific, artistic, and athletic talents, alleviating the pressure of studies and school assignments.”
Iyad has further noted that the school administrations expressed their gratitude and appreciation for the efforts made by the IRCS in implementing such initiatives, which enable students to strengthen their skills and hobbies.
Iraqi Red Crescent Society Is an independent national humanitarian, society whose works to reduce the suffering of people without discrimination, in the time of peace and war, and during the natural and non- natural disasters. IRCS is one of the most effective societies within the International movement of the Red Crescent and Red Cross.
