As a result of recent security events that accompany with the operations of liberating Mosul which led to residents displacement from several villages toward the district of Makhmur at Erbil. And immediately, Erbil branch was able to relief more than 350 displaced families.
The head of Erbil branch Mr.Howry Ihsan said “357 families has left their homes and fled Makhmur and taken from public places, schools and youth clubs as homes to them, meanwhile Erbil branch teams who deployed in the region were able to relief these families and help them find shelter. As well as distributed ready food items, milk and children’s footwear”
He also adds that the Red Crescent’s teams in Erbil branch continue to work in order to provide possible assistance to the displaced families. While the projections indicate the possibility of increasing the number of displaced families from different parts of Nineveh plain and other areas accompany with the operation of liberalization of Mosul.
