The Iraqi Red Crescent Society (IRCS) has announced that the displacement of more than 12,000 families during the last two days from Fallujah after the security forces were able to provide safe access for those families to get out of there. As the families were sheltered in the camps of (Chemawey, Al-Khalediya, Al-habannia, Al-jazirra and camps of Ameriyat Al-Fallujah).
The Red Crescents’ teams has also provided relief assistance to the displaced families, despite the difficulty in distributing relief materials to the families due to their large numbers. Thus, the IRCS has send relief teams from three governorates (Najaf, Babil and Baghdad) in order to help IRCSs’ teams at Anbar branch to provide relief assistance and fast food meals, adding to provide large amounts of water to be distributed to the displaced families.
So far, IRCSs’ teams were managed to relief 5,000 families in which food mineral and water have been distributed for those families. It is likely that the numbers of displaced people may increase in the coming days, thus, The IRCS has mobilize its energies and staff to provide humanitarian assistance to displaced families.
