Relief efforts for 22 families impacted by the Maisan rains and floods were announced by the Iraqi Red Crescent Society.

The Red Crescent stated in a statement, “The slum areas of Shortah district and a number of villages in Al-Dafas, Al-Hussein neighbourhood, Nahawand, and Maghriba were confronted with heavy rains and storms that led to damage to a number of citizens’ homes”.

The crews of the Iraqi Red Crescent, Maisan branch, responded right once and gave relief aid to them as well as moral and psychosocial support to those families, the statement continued.
