Iraqi Red Crescent Society announced increased in the number of displaced families from the province of Nineveh to more than 83 thousand families. The Assistant Secretary General Mohammed Alkhozai said “Red Crescent teams recorded displacement (83) thousand families from different regions of the province of Nineveh to a number of northern provinces and some southern provinces”. Adding that thousands of families living in inhumane conditions extremely difficult growing for food and health needs. Referring to the displacement of thousands of families from areas Bartalah and Sheikhan and the duchy to the province of Arbil.
Noting: the Iraqi Red Crescent teams has formed some relief consists of 4,000 volunteers to help the displaced in providing food and relief to them as provided Food Aid for more than 41 000 families and water for more than 200 000 people. Al Khozai added ” The Iraqi Red Crescent Teams in Sinjar which displaced people has reached more than 7,000 families .IRCS teams still continued to distribute meals by three hot meals a day as well as the distribution of 50 tons of flour and the distribution of more than 150 gas cylinder, as the Red Crescent teams distributes more than 3,000 food baskets and 4,000 blankets. Indicating that the situation of displaced persons in that region is very difficult due to the increasing exodus of families as relief teams are facing difficulty in transporting relief materials and food to those families.
