Sulaimaniyah branch opened at April 1992, it was managed by the two committees, they are (the Advisory Committee which consist of five people and the Executive Committee that consist of three people). Then added at 2003 two offices had added to the branch (Kalar and Halabja).
The early mission of the branch was to provide liquid oxygen to the general hospitals in the region, in addition to adopt the treatment of people who con not be treated in the region, as they were treated in a Baghdad (at the hospital Iraqi RC). As well as to provide humanitarian and relief assistance to those who affected by floods and border shelling, while the branch work with a cadre of (31) employees and (200) volunteers. The branch is still  continues to provide humanitarian and relief assistance to the most vulnerable groups in the governorate.
