Introduction:
The Iraqi Red Crescent Society (IRCS) is a humanitarian society, that relief the most vulnerable people in the community from disasters, and works to minimize its impact, especially after the entry of the armed groups to the Iraqi governorates and the occurrence of violence, which led to the displacement.
Background of Humanitarian Situation:
After the outbreak of violence in the city of Ramadi and its surrounding villages such as (al-Sufia, al-Zera’a, al-Surra and city center) that led to displacement in which the displaced families start to search for safer places, as there were more than (100,000) people has displaced to various Iraqi provinces.
The General Aim:
To help the families and the most vulnerable groups in community from those who have been affected by the calamities and disasters which Iraq witnessed due to the lack of security and stability, adding to the violence in the country.
The Special Aim:
To assist and help the displaced families of Ramadi Center and its surrounding villages.
Coordination and Cooperation:
It has been coordinated with the Higher Committee for Relief and shelter, so that to assist the displaced families, who fled because of the terrorist attacks.
Relief Operations:
1- On 14-15/04/2014, (2000) family has been provided by relief since the beginning of displacement according to the below table:

While the Relief Operations for displaced families from Anbar governorate can be shown as below:
Baghdad:
More than (5000) displaced families get into Baghdad coming from Ramadi and its nearby villages, as the Iraqi Red Crescent made a quick field assessment to the family so that to identify their needs, adding to cooperate with the Ministry of Displacement and Migration to install (500) tent in al-Rissalah neighborhood at Abu Ghraib area.
