The Iraqi Red Crescent Society (IRCS)/ Karbala branch installed (12) medical and first aid detachment to provide health services in the ceremony of the tenth of Muharram visit in Karbala. As the branch equipped 120 volunteers who trained on first aid to provide treatments and dressings for paramedics as the detachments were distributed at the entrances and exits of the city and were equipped with (100) stretchers to be used for transporting emergency case to the nearest hospital or clinic, or medical detachment.

The plan begins on the sixth of Muharram and ends on the tenth after the completion of the of (Hossainian decrees) in which (80) IRCS’s staff as well as volunteers. In the same context, a cadre from Karbala branch organized in cooperation with the directorate of youth a blood donation campaign for getting ready to visit the tenth of Muharram as part of the preparations that should be taken in order to provide blood bottles for this event and in case of any emergency. The number of donors were (30) person, also it is worthy to be mentioned that the staff distributed souvenirs to donors after that process finished under the supervision of competent staff
