IRCS: Displacement of more than 1,200 families from Heet and some of its surrounding areas, and the teams of RC provided them with emergency relief assistance

The Iraqi Red Crescent Society (IRCS) has announced the displacement of more than 1,200 families from the city of Heet and some of its neighboring villages after the Iraqi army have provided them with safe corridors to be transferred to safer areas.
As the IRCS’s teams Iraqi sheltered families in the camps and provide them with food and relief assistance. More than 700 families have been housed in (18 kilometer camp) while in Al-Wafa’a camp the Red Crescent’s teams housed 500 family, in which all have been provided with ready food and water, as well as distributed relief items included blankets, cleaning materials and health kit.
Adding to what had mentioned, IRCS’s teams has conducted questionnaire regarding the number of trapped people inside heet, and about (2000) person could not get out of the city in spite of the safe corridors which provided by the Iraqi army to transfer the families to safer areas.
It is expected that the number of displaced families may increase in the next days
