The President of the Iraqi Red Crescent (IRCS), Dr. Yaseen Ahmed Abbas has valued the role of Chinese Red Cross in helping Iraq to combat Coronavirus 19, He expresses his thanks and gratitude of the Iraqi Red Crescent to his counterpart the Chinese Red Cross and its  Chairman, Dr. Chen Zhu, for his supportive role in Iraq in this crisis and the previous support for the Iraqi Red Crescent that represented in various humanitarian fields, including providing the IRCS with ambulances, mobile medical clinics and others, and it is the result of cooperation,  close relations and mutual visits between the two parties, which embodies the principles of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement in the best forms of cooperation and coordination between the National Societies.
Dr. Yaseen has said,” The Chinese Red Cross was at the top in building bridges of communication and  support represented by its president, Dr. Chen Zhu, who was keen to follow the humanitarian situation in Iraq and the speed of his response in sending medical aid transported by air within a very short period and had its effect in supporting the Iraqi health institutions  to enhance its material and human capabilities, as the Chinese Red Cross team of experts have contributed to enhance the capabilities of the Iraqi health institutions to confront Virus Covid 19 (Corona), in addition to the keenness of the Chinese Red Cross to hold a meeting between the components of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement to discuss the policies of the international movement to confront the epidemic, and support the Iraqi Red Crescent, which reflects coordination and joint cooperation between these components.
