Iraqi Red Crescent Society has announced the arrival of three batches of food and health aid to the besieges mountain of Sinjar by air.
The Assistant Secretary General of Iraqi RC Mr. Mohammed al-Khuzai said “a teams of Iraqi RC were able to distribute 15 tons of food and medical aid as a first batch which is enough to cover 6000 displaced in the mountain of Sinjar. He added, that the first batches of aid, which was distributed include 10,000 food parcels, baby milk, water and First Aid bags, all delivered to the besieges families in Sinjar mountain by airplanes”.
Mr. Alkhozai also pointed that “Iraq RC has sent two new batches of (food aid, baby milk and water) to the same families in Sinjar, noting that the distribution operations done by the aviation due to the control of armed groups on ways which is parallel to Sinjar mountain ,the matter that forced to throw the food parcels from the aircraft to the besiege families in that mountain.
