Iraqi Red Crescent Society/ Al-Anbar branch has announced for distributing food and relief aids to the displaced families in Al-Ramadi city and its villages. Whereas the the staff of Al-Anbar branch distributed (673) food parcels and (3688) blanket during the month of November, to the displaced families in areas of ( Sin Al-theban, Al-soura, Al-hayaniah, Al-karma district in Al-faluja). The distribution will be according to a questionnaire prior implemented by the branch staff to the new displace families, who arrived to this area, in order to register the number of those families and identify their needs in order to secure them,
which included (schools and structures in Sura area and Al- Andalus schools for boys and girls, and the structure of Al-Izzah School and structure at 17 Street and structures of public buildings in 40 Street and Joabh district , Habbaniyah , Sisi , Al-sharqiah and Husaybah) also distributed blankets to displaced families in Habbaniyah, Sisi , Khalidiya, Al-sharqiah and Husaybah , Sin Al-thban , Alsjaria , Joabh and Warrar ,Al-gamaiah and Alqtanh) and the distribution focused to displaced families who live in public buildings and schools structures.
As well as repairing doors and windows in some public buildings and schools that have been housing the new displaced families and completion of Al-Izzah School and 3 building structures in middle of AL- Ramadi, constantly working to ensure that the warmth of the displaced families with the onset of winter and the consequent provision of supplies to enable the displaced families to protect their children from rain and cold.
And the branch staff continues to follow up increasing numbers of new displaced families to Al- Ramadi city , according to field surveys for the preparation of the ongoing displaced families on the rise with the continuing humanitarian crisis and number of those families reached to (10132), most of these families displaced from Hit city and Al-furat village (Albu Nimr) has been providing psychological support and welcome them through field visits to those families.
IRCS program is not limited to providing financial ,food and logistical support, but included the provision of psychological support to displaced families, especially children, because they have suffered from the f violence and terrorism and the situation of isolation and sadness and deprivation from the life of childhood , the games and the atmosphere of the study and the warmth of homes as well plant a smile on the faces of children who are suffering from trouble to access to places safe. It is said that the Iraqi Red Crescent Society is the only organization that has continued to provide support for families displaced from the beginning of the crisis in Anbar and all governorates touched by violence and so far enjoys the admissibility of all parties because of their credibility to enable them to provide services to the most vulnerable groups in society, and they respond to any appeal without discrimination and continues to provide material and moral and psychological support to the displaced families as well as providing them with shelter.
From the other side , the staff of Al-Anbar branch has distributed food aids to the disabled people in AL-Ramadi city and its villages, number of distributing ration reached to (100) food parcels, the distribution comes according to an appeal from the families of special needs and disabilities, the branch staff also implemented field questionnaire to the vulnerable families and special needs in Amiriyat al-Falluja district, number of beneficiaries reached to ( 500) vulnerable family.
Iraqi Red Crescent Society Is an independent national humanitarian, society whose works to reduce the suffering of people without discrimination, in the time of peace and war, and during the natural and non- natural disasters. IRCS is one of the most effective societies within the International movement of the Red Crescent and Red Cross.
