Iraqi Red Crescent: Sending relief and food items to the villages and besieged areas due to rain torrents in Maysan.

Responding to the crisis that caused by the floods south of Maysan governorate due to the heavy rain during the last days, The Iraqi Red Cresent Society (IRCS) / Maysan branch has started a distribution campaign of health, relief, and food items for thousands of affected families at AlJadawel village in Sayed Ahmed AlRefae township south of Maymona district.
The above-mentioned campaign came after the previous field visits organized by the IRCS last week, as well as the identification during the meeting of the crisis cell in the building of the governorate where the floods caused great damage to houses and property in the village above, where three houses fell down and caused the siege of more than (83) houses  In addition to the disruption of roads leading to them.
It worthy to be mentioned that all houses in these villages are mud houses.
