Coinciding with the eighty-sixth anniversary of establishing the Iraqi Red Crescent Society (IRCS), the IRCS has organized a conference in the presence of a large number of local humanitarian organizations and the IRCS`s partners from the International Movement of Red Cross and Red Crescent in order to review the humanitarian challenges and the magnitude of the response that accomplished by the relief teams in the field of humanitarian work.
Dr. Yassin Al-Mamori the President of the IRCS has said ” The crisis that Iraq has witnessed proved the ability of the Iraqi humanitarian organizations to face the crises and unifying the efforts in cooperating between the governmental entities, humanitarian organizations, and the local society, so the response was clear and important”.
” The IRCS and the humanitarian organizations had an important role in assisting the affected people due to the recent events and we cherished their roles”, said Dr. Mehdi Alalak the Secretary-General of the Iraqi Council of Ministers.
In the context of the above-mentioned conference, The IRCS has organized an exhibition for the societies, institutions and the departments working on the relief operations in Iraq.
