The Iraqi Red Crescent Society (IRCS) has provided food, relief and medical assistance to more than 184,000 displaced people since the beginning of the operations of the right side of Mosul city on 21 March 2017 till now .
The IRCS has reported “ The IRCS teams who are deployed in the areas of displacement have distributed food, relief and medical assistance to more than 184,000 displaced after more than 40 days on the operations of the right side of Mosul till now ” .
The statement has noted that the IRCS`s relief teams who are deployed in the centers of displacement specifically at the camps of ( Hasan sham, khazer, jama kour, Jada, Hamam Al-Alil, Haj Ali, left side of Mosul camp and Narkzlia) have distributed more than 127,000 hot food meal and 34,000 food parcel enough for nine members for a month, adding to distribute more than two million a loaf of bread which is considered as a basic food material prepared by electric bakeries that is installed by the IRCS in the camps of displacement in collaboration with its partners in the International Movement of Red Cross and Red Crescent .
The IRCS teams have also installed water stations(M40) with a capacity of 600,000 liters daily in the camps of displacement .
While health section, the IRCS teams have opened a mobile medical clinics and health centers in the camps of displacement and the liberated areas in order to provide medical treatments, first aid and psychosocial support for the displaced families, and the number of beneficiaries from the services has reached more than 727,000 people .
The IRCS teams are still continuing to distribute food, relief and medical assistance for the displaced families till now, and they are making extraordinary efforts in their humanitarian work .
