The Iraqi Red Crescent Society (IRCS) has provided health, preventive and first aid services to the visitors and mourning processions for Al-Husseini since the beginning of the ritual of Arbaeen ceremony.
The IRCS has said in a statement, “The IRCS developed an integrated plan with the participation of (700) volunteers since the start of the visit, the IRCS’s teams have sterilised the Hussaini processions, distributing masks to the visitors on foot, providing first aid and transporting the urgent cases through ambulances that are deployed in all the routes that visitors take.
The statement has added, “The Red Crescent detachments which are deployed in the governorates provide health services, including first aid, fumigation, sterilization, and health education to prevent Corona pandemic, the number of beneficiaries of the services provided by the Iraqi Red Crescent teams during the ritual of Arbaeen  reached (4,900,000) visitors.
