Iraqi Red Crescent: Over 80 volunteers provide medical treatment to crowds of visitors in Maysan.

Maysan Governorate is currently witnessing an early increase of thousands of participants commemorating Imam Hussein’s Arbaeen (peace be upon him).
With the entry of visitors from neighbouring countries into the governorate, and in an effort to offer the best medical and first aid services to the crowds of visitors, the Iraqi Red Crescent Society has started to set up (4) medical detachments distributed, setting up from the Al-Bateera area, Al-Kahla, and Al-Maimouna districts south of the governorate and ending at the Al-Shaib border crossing, said the communication coordinator of the Iraqi Red Crescent at Maisan.
He elaborated: “(88) male and female volunteers engaged in delivering different essential health and first aid services, along with preparing ambulances equipped with trained paramedics to treat and transport emergency cases.” It should be noted: “The mobile medical clinics of the Iraqi Red Crescent link the Al-Shaib port and the centre of the city of Amara, and they operate around the clock (24) hours, providing the best health services and free treatments for thousands of foreign visitors coming through the land border with Iran.”
Also worth noting: “The fixed and mobile health teams, alongside their work in delivering medical services, are additionally carrying out a health awareness campaign that encourages cleanliness by distributing informational publications to visitors to preserve their health and safety.”
